NOTICE TO ALL CONSULTING ENGINEERS AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRMS

USE OF STANDARD ERB FORM OF AGREEMENT, TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF A CONSULTING ENGINEER

The Board wishes to notify all Consulting Engineers and Engineering Consulting Firms that effectively from January 1, 2014 the Standard ERB Form of Agreement, Terms and Conditions for the Appointment of a Consulting Engineer document shall be available from the Board’s offices for use during contract signing between client and the consulting engineer during either designing or supervisión services or both design and supervisión services for building construction Works.

Duly certified copy of the Agreement document shall be among the attachments submitted with the application form to the Board during Project registration for all building construction projects to be designed or supervised by Consulting Engineers.

The use of the Standard Form of Agreement , Terms and Conditions for the Appointment of a Consulting Engineer is a measure to monitor consultants performance pursuant to Regulation 56 of the Engineers Registration Regulations, 2010.

Standard forms can be purchased from the Board’s Offices at a cost of Tshs 10,000 per booklet, of which two copies for client and consultant are to be properly filled per Project. Fees contained in the contract forms should be construed as the mínimum. It should be noted that the same document can be downloaded from www.erb.go.tz but the same will have to be paid for when submitting for Project registration, before further processes can continue.
